Job Summary
The Initial Assessment Clinician conducts initial assessments for new clients using tools such as VP-MAPP, AFLS, Essentials for Living, ABLLS, etc., ensuring treatment fidelity and educating families on ABA therapy. Responsibilities include completing the contracted number of assessments weekly, submitting all assessments within five days of completion, coordinating with families and legal guardians, transitioning care to the Supervising Clinician, maintaining client profiles in CareConnect, reviewing COMS reports to schedule referrals and appointments, and promoting Centria Healthcare through building relationships with referral sources. Must collaborate with Operations and Field Staff Managers, support business opportunities, and work within office hours (Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with after-school hours 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM). Qualifications emphasize BCBA certification, active licensure when applicable, mastery of ABA-related clinical knowledge, strong communication and data-analytic skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team, with emphasis on safety and clinical outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in acceptance with BACB guidelines
- Completion of 8-hour supervision course, or willing to complete within first 30 days
- BCBA certification from the BACB, in good standing
- Active state license, in good standing, when applicable
- 1+ years working with children and autism spectrum disorders
- Previous supervision experience, preferred
