Job Summary
Own the finishing components and subsystems by documenting tolerance requirements for repeatable production installation. Prepare technical specifications for suppliers, lead meetings with designers and manufacturing teams, and define validation plans to approve design changes. Coach design integration teams, monitor technology trends, and support development and production workflows while managing external collaborators. Assess project risks, analyze in-service failures, and implement corrective actions. Act as the technical guardian of systems with customers and suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Relevant product development experience
- Experience with composite materials, glazing, plastics, and metals
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, DFM/DFA principles, and FMEA analysis
- Strong ability and interest in preparing technical documentation, including technical specifications, test plans, and technical reports
- Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written
