Job Summary
AI Engineer to design and develop AI-first applications and services that enhance enterprise digital platforms. Leverage a strong software engineering background to apply modern AI/ML approaches for scalable, adaptable, and high-performing systems. Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering to deliver AI solutions aligned with client needs, contribute to system design and integration of AI components, and support continuous improvement through experimentation, testing, and performance optimization. Requirements include 5–8 years of software development experience, transition into AI-focused development with AI/ML concepts, strong AI-first design principles, and excellent communication for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams. Bonus points for Azure cloud experience, MLOps practices, enterprise/financial services AI integration, data engineering, and governance/ethical AI practices. Proficiency in French and English is required; majority of clients/colleagues located outside Quebec and Canada may imply language requirements. Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of software development experience in modern programming languages
- Transition to AI-focused design with AI/ML concepts applied to real-world solutions
- Strong understanding of AI-first design principles and scalable systems
- Ability to evaluate and apply appropriate technologies based on context
- Strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams
- Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (Azure) for AI deployment
- Bonus: familiarity with MLOps and lifecycle management of AI models
- Bonus: experience integrating AI in enterprise or financial services environments
- Bonus: data engineering, data pipelines, or large-scale data processing experience
