Job Summary
Establish design criteria based on contractual requirements and best engineering practices. Design structural works including buildings, structures, and foundations. Prepare engineering calculations and ensure compliance with quality procedures. Draft technical specifications and supervise drawing preparation. Collaborate with project teams through all phases from preliminary design to closure. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, 5 years of CAD experience, and membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering design
- Registered member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Experience in electrical transmission and distribution installations, renewable energy plants, and heavy industrial installations
- In-depth knowledge of the design of eclectic stations, buildings, steel, concrete, masonry structures, and foundations
Desired Qualifications
- Mastery of Staad.Pro, SAFI, L-pile, Spcolumn, and MS Office suite
- Proficiency in Catia or Revit is a plus
- Bilingualism is advantageous
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of English required for collaboration with colleagues outside Quebec
