Job Summary
FPGA Development Engineer with established experience in embedded electronics, joining Thales in Valence on a CDI basis. You will participate in specifying hardware architectures with product, card, and software teams; lead the development, integration and verification of FPGA functions for navigation equipment or onboard processors; contribute to the design and implementation of complex processing blocks, fast interfaces, synchronization, and real-time management; ensure complete traceability from requirements to verification and validation; interface with systems/product, board, embedded software, validation and production teams; contribute to continuous improvement of practices and verification environments; act as a technical referent and mentor for junior engineers; work within a multi-disciplinary team while adhering to cost and schedule constraints and ensuring adherence to industry standards including DO254. The role requires security clearance compliance and potential short-duration assignments.
Required Qualifications
- BAC+5 in electronic embedded systems or equivalent
- Significant experience in embedded electronics
- Proficiency in hardware description languages VHDL/Verilog
- Development and verification of FPGA and/or ASIC
- Knowledge of FPGA development platforms (Xilinx, ALTERA, Microsemi, ... ) and UNIX environment
- Knowledge of processing, fast buses, memories, interfaces, and real-time constraints
- Knowledge of card interfaces, timing issues on external buses such as DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet
- English (oral and written)
- Mobility for short missions
- Leadership, strong communication, rigor, autonomy, teamwork, analytical and synthesis skills
