Job Summary
Conduct electromagnetic design and dimensioning of hydroelectric generators for North American projects. Define optimized winning solutions that respect budget, tender milestones, and commercial strategy while implementing the design during execution. Estimate electrical auxiliary scope, including instrumentation and cabling, and prepare technical documentation such as calculation notes and specifications. Deliver design packages by applying design practices and feedback of experience, while supervising draftsmen and collaborating with global engineering teams. Validate designs through root cause analysis and corrective actions, ensuring technical feasibility with the supply chain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a known university
- at least 5 years of experience in high power electrical rotating machine design
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, a temporary permit or eligible to become a member of the OIQ in the short term
- Willing and available to occasionally travel in North America
- Bilingualism (French and English)
