Job Summary
Design and analyze structural systems for data centers, including steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation components. Develop calculations, reports, and construction documents while coordinating with architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables through construction administration, RFIs, and site observations. Participate in design reviews and field investigations to ensure compliance with standards and client requirements. Maintain proficiency in structural software and international codes to deliver high-performance, resilient facilities for mission-critical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience, including direct involvement in data center or mission-critical facility projects
- Experience designing structural systems using steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation engineering principles
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, RAM, RISA, or similar tools
- Working knowledge of international building codes and structural design standards
- Experience preparing construction documents and engineering calculations
- Strong communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Professional-level proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Colombian professional registration, or ability to obtain licensure
- Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission-critical campus developments
- Familiarity with seismic design, equipment anchorage, and vibration analysis
- Experience with BIM/Revit workflows and multidisciplinary project coordination
- Knowledge of U.S. and international codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, and related standards
- Experience working with global clients and international project teams
