Job Summary
Coordinate new product development and modifications from design concept through implementation, managing projects focused on cost, quality, productivity, and safety. Develop and design tests to verify product, equipment, and process standards, while overseeing industrial feasibility and pilot testing. Manage first production runs by providing fabrication instructions and procedures to guarantee product quality. Design, manage, and implement projects to solve problems related to raw materials, components, and production lines, optimizing material and process options. Ensure comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures, including specifications and test reports. Evaluate design and production processes to detect cost and efficiency improvement opportunities, implementing quality processes for organizational efficiency. Comply with all safety, health, and environmental control measures established in the company's RIT.
Required Qualifications
- Chemical or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum experience of 2 years in the chemical or food industry in a similar position
- Knowledge of process escalation
- Intermediate English, spoken and written
- Knowledge of basic concepts of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
- Knowledge of computer systems in manufacturing applications, including spreadsheets
- Project management
