Job Summary
Prepare, package, and label medication accurately, including compounding sterile intravenous admixtures and managing hazardous and investigational drugs. Triage medication-related communications and maintain electronic medical records while assisting in training new technicians. Monitor automated dispensing machines, restock e-boxes and crash carts, and manage drug inventory through ordering, receiving, and outdate checks. Log into Vestigo daily to complete pharmacy tasks and serve as a study delegate if required. This per-diem role features a variable Monday through Friday schedule at the UWMC-Northwest location. Candidates must hold current Washington state pharmacy technician certification with one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Washington state pharmacy technician certification
- 1 year pharmacy technician experience or completion of Fred Hutch pharmacy apprentice program
- Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear, concise and professional manner
- Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical calculations
- Ability to use a mouse, navigate computer programs, enter data into computer systems accurately and efficiently
- Pre Employment Drug Screening
- Per-Diem role working a variable schedule Monday thru Friday
- UWMC-Northwest location
