Job Summary
Provide quality in-home care and infusions as defined within the scope of practice by the Nurse Practice Act. Administer specialty pharmacy infusion therapies and injectables to patients with rare, chronic, and acute diseases in the home setting, infusion suites, or physicians' offices. Proficient in accessing and maintaining SPC/PIV/Midlines, CVAD, SCIG, phlebotomy, and lab processing while following proper infection control measures. Coordinate care planning with the Director of Nursing and administer appropriate clinical decisions. Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific patient differences and ensure safe care adhering to all policies and standards. Administer CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary. Requires current CPR certification, PPD, and skills assessment; willing to travel within the assigned region and work alternate shifts or on-call for field visits.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the State Board of Nursing
- Proof of current PPD
- Current CPR– hands-on class
- Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience
- Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic region
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice
- Ability to be on call for field visits as determined by business needs
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in infusion nursing
- Home health experience
- Minimum of two years medical, surgical, or critical care/ER experience
- Minimum of one year of recent infusion experience
