Job Summary
Provide quality in-home care and administer specialty pharmacy infusions, injectables, and lab processing to patients with rare, chronic, and acute diseases. Teach administration of therapies and self-administration techniques while maintaining SPC/PIV/Midlines, CVADs, and phlebotomy standards. Coordinate nursing care planning with the Director of Nursing, update patient progress, and ensure safe care adhering to all policies and infection control measures. Administer CPR and emergency procedures as necessary. Requires current RN licensure, CPR certification, and willingness to travel within the assigned region and work alternate shifts on short notice.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the State Board of Nursing
- Proof of current PPD
- Current CPR– hands-on class
- Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience
- Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic region
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice
- Ability to be on call for field visits as determined by business needs
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in infusion nursing
- Home health experience
- Minimum of two years medical, surgical, or critical care/ER experience
- Minimum of one year of recent infusion experience
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in accessing and maintaining SPC/PIV/Midlines, CVAD (PICC/Implanted Ports), SCIG, phlebotomy, and lab processing
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific differences in the patient population, including physiological and developmental differences unique to each group
