Job Summary
Initiate and implement nursing treatment plans while administering medications, monitoring patients during infusion therapy, and providing education on regimens and side effects. Assess patient needs through health data and interviews, re-evaluate progress against therapy response, and modify treatment protocols based on physician orders or changing patient status. Communicate effectively with internal clinical teams and medical providers to ensure continuity of care, preparing real-time clinical documentation to support billing optimization. Respond promptly to patient needs and initiate emergency procedures as necessary, while maintaining compliance with state regulations, HIPAA standards, and internal policies. Maintain competency through required training modules and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing
- Licensed professional who specializes in infusion therapy and the administration of biologics and other necessary medications, intravenously
- Licensed to practice as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Florida
- Practices nursing within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of Florida
- IV experience
- Credentialed with insurance payors
- BLS
- Subject to license verification, criminal background check and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS
- ER experience
- Ability to speak Spanish
