Job Summary
Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters, prepare medications, and administer IV therapy via electronic pumps or gravity tubing while troubleshooting alarms. Document infusion charting and patient messages in the EMR, address patient concerns regarding adverse effects or diagnosis, and monitor environmental safety and equipment effectiveness. Use clinical judgment to evaluate patient care needs and establish priorities within the scope of a mid-level provider. Cover any clinic as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations. Requires an APRN with infusion experience; chemo experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
- Nurse Practitioner experience
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19
Desired Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion related setting
- Chemo experience
