Job Summary
Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters and PICC line catheters, assess patency, and troubleshoot infusion pump alarms. Administer IV therapy via electronic pumps or gravity tubing, prepare medications, draw laboratory specimens, and document charting in the EMR. Address patient questions regarding adverse effects or diagnosis, monitor equipment safety, and communicate abnormal lab results to physicians. Cover clinic shifts as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations. Requires a valid APRN, two years of office NP experience, and infusion expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Valid APRN
- At least (2) two years NP office practice experience
- Infusion experience
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent IV skills
- PICC certified
- Chemo experience
