Job Summary
Infusion Nurse, Independent Contractor responsible for delivering in-home infusion nursing care in the Midland/Odessa, TX area. Clinically assess and document patient needs, perform physical assessments, collaborate with in-house RN staff to develop and adjust care plans, educate patients and families, manage intravenous access devices (including CVADs, PICC lines, and ports), ensure adherence to nursing standards and policies, coordinate patient care across the care team, monitor supply inventory, maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance, complete electronic charting via iPad, and provide post-visit reporting for adverse events. Requires RN license, CPR certification, and at least one year of nursing experience (preferably in home infusion), with flexible availability for after-hours care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and registered as a registered nurse in the States where practicing
- Current CPR certification
- At least one year of experience as a registered nurse preferably in a home infusion setting
- Experience with infusion access devices (peripheral lines, PICC lines, central venous catheters, including implantable ports)
- Flexible with work schedule; after-hours care when needed and communicated via report system
