Job Summary
Infusion Nurse, Independent Contractor in Beaumont, TX. Provides nursing care and education for infusion therapy patients, coordinates with in-house RN staff to develop and revise patient care plans, administers and manages IV access devices, documents care and discharge planning, adheres to nursing standards and infection control, and completes patient visits and reporting via company systems. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, treatment per physician plan, patient and family education, coordination with health care team, monitoring supplies, maintaining pump equipment, and after-hours coverage as needed. Eligible candidates are graduates of accredited nursing programs, licensed RNs in practicing states, CPR certified, with at least one year of RN experience (preferably in home infusion) and pediatric-infusion exposure is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and registered as a registered nurse in the states where practicing
- Current CPR certification
- At least one year of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in a home infusion setting
- Experience with infusion access devices such as peripheral lines, PICC lines, central venous catheters including implantable ports
- Flexible with work schedule and after-hours care as needed
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Intermittent visits based on nurse’s availability
