Job Summary

Administer intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician, establishing access per policy and observing patient reactions. Document symptoms and progress in medical records while educating patients on disease processes and medication risks. Perform daily inventory counts and communicate supply needs to designated contacts. Notify the physician of patient condition changes and schedule follow-up appointments. Collect co-pays, call no-show patients, and obtain satisfaction surveys as required. Adhere to Medicaid and Medicare regulations and update clinical knowledge through annual continuing education.

Required Qualifications

  • Be a licensed nurse, with a current license
  • Minimum of one year of infusion nursing or home health experience
  • Work positively and favorably with patients, families, and staff
  • Demonstrate proficient infusion skills
  • Perform the infusion therapy as directed by physician orders
  • Establish intravenous access per policy and procedure
  • Determine appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site
  • Observe, assess, and document symptoms via nurses note timely
  • Monitor reactions and patient progress
  • Educate patients and/or caregivers on disease processes, medications, side effects/risks
  • Schedule follow up appointment for next therapy
  • Notify the physician and other personnel (CEO) of change in the patient's condition
  • Perform skill outline in the agency's approved policy and procedure manual
  • Update clinical records according to policy and procedures
  • Update knowledge and skills by attending in-service programs, continuing education programs, seminars, and self-study programs annually
  • Perform inventory count before and after clinic daily, communicate needs to medication@curbsideinfusion.com
  • Communicate supply needs prn to supplies@curbsideinfusion.com
  • Adhere to safe nursing practice standards
  • Maintain professionalism with patient and client staff
  • Obtain satisfaction surveys from patients prn
  • Collect co-pays as required
  • Call no-show patients prn
  • Be knowledgeable about medications to be administered
  • Mix medication per policy and procedure (never before pt arrival)
  • Adhere to Medicaid and Medicare regulations
  • Clinical Research
