Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards under physician direction. Support the infusion suite by obtaining vitals, inserting peripheral IVs, preparing patients for procedures, documenting information, and administering medications. Manage in-basket pools, prior authorizations, refill processing, and patient phone triage while documenting urgent concerns. Maintain a clean environment, perform quality control on equipment, and order medical inventory. Educate patients on treatment, procedures, and recovery needs. Assist physicians with prescribed procedures. This role includes one day per week in the infusion suite and three days per week in triage. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts with a day off.
Required Qualifications
- Current active Oregon state licensure as an LPN
- Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire
- Knowledge of IV medications, fluids, and blood products
- Skill in performing venipuncture and working with a variety of vascular access devices associated with infusion
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask
- Excellent attendance and work ethic
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety
- Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts with a day off
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as an LPN
- Specialty GI and Triage experience
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Epic experience
- ACLS certification
