Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and administer IV/SQIG and biologic infusions during patient visits across Northern Manhattan, the South Bronx, and surrounding areas. Perform PIV, PICC, and central line care while educating patients and families on therapy administration. Partner with the Infusion Intake Team to initiate care and, upon request, supervise newly hired nurses' skills. Manage clinical documentation using paperless systems and collaborate with internal staff and medical providers. Requires a New York State RN license, at least three years of home care infusion experience, and BLS certification. Pay ranges from $50/hour base to $150+ per case.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration Certificate
- BLS
- Infusion experience
- Experience infusing IV/SQIG and biologic medications
- Knowledge of principles & practices of supervision, performance evaluation, and education
- Knowledge of Federal HIPAA Regulations
- Knowledge of standard nursing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret clinical documents, including physicians' orders and treatment plans
- Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary health care team
- At least 3 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience as a registered nurse in a home care infusion company, hospital, clinic, or medical facility
- Up-to-date medical, inclusive of Physical, TB Clearance/QuantiFERON Gold blood test, 2-step PPD or T-Spot, or Chest X-ray and Habituation Statement
- MMR-Varicella Titers Lab Report or Vaccination Records
- TDAP Vaccine - Hep B Vaccination Series, Titers OR Declination
- Urine Drug Screen (UDS) - within the last 6 months is acceptable
- Flu Vaccination (if applicable) or Declination
- Two (2) forms of government-approved ID to validate employment eligibility
- Two (2) satisfactory professional references
- Malpractice Insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- ACLS
- Competence in implanted port access (MediPort, PermaCath, etc.)
