Job Summary
Prepare and administer specialized IV and injection therapies while performing thorough patient assessments and monitoring client conditions. Review physician's orders, document changes in health status, and provide direction to Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses. Utilize strong intravenous skills and analytical acumen to address diverse clinical scenarios and observe changes in patient status. This part-time, temporary 18-month contract role offers a maximum 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio with shifts limited to days and evenings. Candidates must have at least three years of recent acute care experience and current provincial nursing registration.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse
- At least 3 years of recent acute care experience
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body
- Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes
- Excellent intravenous skills
- Training and experience with CVADs
- Background in biologics/infusions
- French language proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in ICU and/or ER
