Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists in drug distribution, billing and patient records for infusion center operations. Responsibilities include compounding intravenous solutions (including hazardous medications), ensuring compliance with USP 797 and 800, performing clerical tasks, packaging medications in unit-dose formats, operating departmental equipment, maintaining records, participating in inventory and purchasing in the absence of the Purchasing Specialist, and supporting quality improvement and training initiatives. The role requires EPIC-based record management, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and collaboration with pharmacists and staff to support outpatient infusion services at the Henderson and Newburgh locations; candidates should have a High School diploma and be or become a licensed Pharmacy Technician for Indiana/Kentucky, with preferred prior sterile compounding experience and medical terminology knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Must be licensed or qualify for license as Pharmacy Technician in the applicable state (Indiana/Kentucky)
  • Must obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician designation within 1 year of employment
  • 6 months of sterile compounding experience preferred
  • 6-12 weeks on-the-job training required based on experience
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred
