Job Summary
Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, manage Proxmox virtualization, and configure network infrastructure including switches, routing, VLANs, and VPNs. Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and SharePoint while monitoring system health, resolving incidents, and maintaining backups and disaster recovery processes. Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or Bash and ensure CMMC Level 2 compliance for engineering and export-controlled programs. This onsite role in El Segundo, CA, requires 3–7 years of experience and involves 25–40% domestic travel. Space Kinetic is building a new architecture for space operations using proliferated drone technology to reduce reliance on consumable fuel.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, networking, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3 to 7 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure or enterprise systems
- Experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments, preferably Ubuntu or Rocky Linux
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switches, and wireless networks
- Experience with virtualization platforms, preferably Proxmox, as well as backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure-monitoring technologies
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting tools
- Domestic travel, approximately 25% to 40% of the year
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee (or eligibility for required authorizations)
Desired Qualifications
- Graduates of CAE-CD programs designated by the NSA and CISA
- Microsoft, Linux, or CompTIA Security+ certifications
- Experience supporting aerospace, engineering, CAD, or manufacturing environments
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Python, or Ansible
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or other regulated security frameworks
