Infrastructure Support Engineer

Job Summary

Act as local "hands & eyes" for remote infrastructure teams, providing end-user support (1st to 3rd line) and troubleshooting networking issues involving IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, VLANs, firewalls, and Cisco switching. Manage OT/shopfloor environments including PLC/HMI connectivity, scanners, and IoT devices, while supporting meeting room technologies like Poly, Logitech, and Teams Rooms. Coordinate with business stakeholders, vendors, and central IT teams to drive resolution across Problem and incident management workflows. Maintain comprehensive documentation for IP configurations, disaster recovery procedures, and knowledge bases in ServiceNow or SharePoint. Provide onsite technical assistance in Zedelgem, Belgium, with occasional travel to Antwerp, Zeebrugge, and Hoorn, while handling occasional out-of-hours support for production issues. Fluent in Dutch and English, this role bridges local operations with remote technical expertise.

  • Practical Windows/Microsoft knowledge, including Active Directory/ENTRAID, domain concepts, Microsoft 365, SSO/MFA/Conditional Access concepts, and endpoint troubleshooting
  • Documentation and knowledge-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across both remote technical teams and local business operations staff
  • Calm prioritization during production-impacting incident
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Onsite presence required 5 days/week
  • Willingness to travel to other locations on rare occasions
  • Occasional out-of-hours support availability for serious production issues and planned server updates & smoke tests
  • Start date after Sep 1st 2026

Desired Qualifications

  • Zebra MC9190 scanner setup/configuration
  • Experience with meeting room technology such as Poly, Logitech, Yealink, Barco, Teams Rooms, and cloud MDM tools such as Poly Lens
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Other networking knowledge including SDWAN & SASE
