Job Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and maintain the foundational platform infrastructure enabling scalable, reliable Battery Energy Storage System deployment. Responsibilities include owning edge Kubernetes fleet management, automated server provisioning, and software update pipelines; evaluating server hardware and OS to define the future energy storage platform architecture; identifying and resolving scalability bottlenecks, reliability gaps, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities; building tooling and services for validating software systems at scale; providing hands-on technical leadership through pair programming and in-office sessions; translating early deployment learnings into measurable platform improvements; and fostering a culture of engineering excellence, curiosity, inclusivity, and action-oriented learning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering
- Strong grasp of system design principles and real-world experience building available, reliable, scalable, and secure distributed systems
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network systems and infrastructure
- Genuine interest in server hardware fundamentals and how software and hardware interact at the platform level
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, shifting priorities, and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
