Job Summary
Lead and manage a team to deliver a large portfolio of sustainable transport/highways schemes with budgets over £1m, overseeing investigations, feasibility, preliminary and detailed design through to on-the-ground implementation. Coordinate Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and community engagement, work closely with Transport Strategy and a broad range of stakeholders, ensure health and safety compliance, and drive delivery of Active Travel and highway improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or significant relevant experience in highways engineering
- Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status
- CSCS card
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications for health and safety (preferred)
- Extensive experience managing complex highway projects and schemes
- Knowledge of highway design and maintenance techniques and CDM Regulations 2015
