Infrastructure Operations Lead (Batam)

Job Summary
Ensure 24/7 operational reliability for high-performance AI workloads by managing power, cooling, and environmental conditions at the Batam data center. Lead a team of engineers and technicians, overseeing installation, configuration, and maintenance of HPC and GPU systems while planning shift schedules and on-call rotations. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering regular SLA and KPI reports, and collaborate with vendors to manage procurement and repairs. Maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems as needed. Prepare detailed performance metrics for senior management and propose improvements to enhance reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing data centers, particularly in HPC and GPU environments
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
- Technical expertise in HPC, GPU deployment, and associated hardware/software solutions
- Strong understanding of power, cooling, and environmental systems in data centers
- Excellent client-facing communication and reporting skills
- Experience with inventory and spare parts management
- Strong written and verbal English skills to manage tickets, document activities, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and colocation (colo) providers
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia
- Based on-site at the data center
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to urgent operational issues
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in data center management (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, and AI frameworks
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud/HPC environments
- Commitment to continuous learning to stay ahead of evolving technologies and standards
