Job Summary
Lead a team of 15 to 20 system administrators, database administrators, and IT infrastructure engineers to oversee WAN, LAN, VPN, cloud networking, and firewall infrastructure. Direct network operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning activities while supporting RMF, cybersecurity compliance, and continuous monitoring initiatives. Lead network architecture reviews, technology refresh planning, and the development of network standards, policies, and engineering documentation for regional field operations and training facilities. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 12+ years of network engineering experience, and an Active Top Secret clearance. Salary range $120,800 - $265,800.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 12+ years of network engineering experience inclusive of 10+ years managing enterprise infrastructure
- Experience supporting large federal enterprise environments
- Experience supporting NIST, RMF, and federal cybersecurity requirements
- Experience with VMware, Azure, AWS, storage, backup/recovery, and monitoring platforms
- Experience supporting hybrid-cloud federal environments
- Experience with lifecycle management, infrastructure modernization, and operational engineering
- Active Top Secret clearance; SCI eligible
Desired Qualifications
- CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent certification
- Prior experience supporting the Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security and/or Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) is highly desirable
- Experience supporting both classified and unclassified networks
- Cloud networking experience in Azure and AWS GovCloud environments
