Job Summary
Infrastructure Inspector I conducts sanitary sewer inspections using CCTV equipment and manhole scanners to assess and document PACP defects and asset conditions; prepares videos, reports, and condition index scores to inform rehab/repair planning; uses EnerGov, GIS, Cartegraph, and Wincan to record findings and manage inspections; schedules inspections, coordinates with plumbers/contractors, and provides customer service reflecting positively on the City; supports preventive and corrective maintenance, operates a range of vehicles/tools, and participates in on-call rotations; requires driving responsibilities, CDL training, and certificates within specified timelines; ideal candidate has five years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and certifications in wastewater collection and operator standards; physical and environmental demands include outdoor work in varied conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
- Class A commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsement within six months of employment
- Certification as a Class I Wastewater Collection System Operator within one year
- NASSCO PACP/MACP certification within one year
- Experience in water or wastewater system maintenance/inspection/ construction (five years preferred)
- Ability to operate and interpret CCTV and related equipment
- Proficiency with EnerGov and related systems
- Ability to coordinate inspections, plumbers, and contractors
- Commitment to safety and ability to pass background and drug screening
