Infrastructure Engineer (with DevOps skills)

Job Summary
Maintain and manage dedicated project business networks from the infrastructure perspective, including orchestration of on-prem containers within the IRIS2 constellation environment. Negotiate with stakeholders on technical implementations for customer requirements and advise the engineering team on capabilities and timelines for future projects. Produce detailed architectural documents related to existing infrastructure and assist in designing components of larger systems. Provide support to less experienced colleagues while implementing security and compliance policies, including system patch updates. This role utilizes Agile methodology and automation tools like GitLab pipelines, requiring solid virtualization and Linux administration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Solid virtualization skills: VMware, Virt-manager
- Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes orchestration, cluster administration, especially on-prem
- Strong experience with system administration: Linux (mainly RHEL)
- Proven competencies related to networking, in different project contexts
- Previous experience with various scripting tools: shell scripting, Python
- Implementation of security and compliance policies (Security patch updates)
- Ability to follow technical procedures
- Ability to create technical documentation
- Clear communication on technical issues (oral and written)
- Ability to efficiently manage incidents and problems within a multiple teams / multiple cultures environment
- Effective team collaboration
- Teamwork mindset
- Mobility: Travel to FR – 1-2 / year if necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with various DevOps technologies: GitLab, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform
- CCNA certification
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification
