Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer role focused on delivery of back end IT infrastructure, including installation, configuration and ongoing support of server, storage and related components to agreed designs, timescales and budgets. Responsibilities include design and implementation of technical solutions to meet customer specifications, documentation and run books, participation in service transition, problem solving and escalation, occasional out-of-hours work, and collaboration within a team to deliver projects and provide through-life support. Requires Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in third-line support/project delivery, extensive experience with Windows Server, VMware, NetApp storage, Linux (Red Hat), automation tooling (Puppet, Ansible, Satellite), and familiarity with Agile practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or minimum 3 years experience in a third line support or project delivery role
- Experience working with Windows Server 2003-2022 including core functionality (DHCP/DNS/PKI/AD)
- Experience with VMware (NSX, Vcentre, Aria)
- NetApp storage
- Linux skills (Red Hat, Puppet, Satellite, Ansible, IDM)
- Experience of working within a large managed estate
- Familiar with Agile ways of working
- Familiar with Automation principles and scripting languages
