Job Summary
Lead small work teams in installing, maintaining, and repairing diverse electronic and mechanical equipment, including cutting and splicing Cat 5/6 copper and fiber optic cables. Plan task execution for underground and in-building cable lines, while troubleshooting network, public address, telephone, access control, and security systems. Perform evaluations, repairs, and calibration on existing infrastructure, establishing filing systems to track project status and inventory. Duties include climbing towers and scaffolds, working on uneven surfaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs in both indoor and outdoor field environments. Requires a valid driver's license, secret clearance, and experience with electrical processes.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of job-related experience
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
- Ability to crawl into small spaces
- General knowledge of electrical processes
- Familiarity with the equipment and tools used in the field
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to successfully interact with teammates, customers, and employees of other companies
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
- Valid, current state driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds
- Ability to work in a field environment
- Ability to work on even or uneven surfaces
- Ability to work on gravel or shingled roof
- Ability to work in wet conditions
- Ability to work on dry conditions
