Job Summary
Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and globally distributed on-prem data centers. Architect and manage services including networking, computing, storage, and databases using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python). Develop automation to streamline provisioning and operations, enforce cloud security (IAM, data protection, encryption, regulatory compliance), monitor performance, and optimize resource usage. Collaborate with software engineering to integrate cloud-native services, participate in 7x24 L3 production support, and support CI/CD workflows with Git and Azure DevOps. Requires 3+ years in a cloud/platform engineering role and a Bachelor's degree; hands-on Azure experience and familiarity with Kubernetes and automation tooling are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.)
- 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer or in a similar role
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure
- Practical experience with cloud implementations and core cloud services
- Strong working knowledge of Azure; Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles; version control, build automation, testing, release management
- Ability to mentor others and collaborate across teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development
