Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer on the Sandboxing team to design, build, and operate distributed backend systems powering secure sandboxed execution environments for researchers and developers; scale infrastructure to meet growing demand while maintaining reliability and performance; implement and maintain serverless architectures and container orchestration; collaborate with research teams to translate requirements into robust infrastructure solutions; develop monitoring, alerting, and observability; participate in on-call rotations and incident response; contribute to infrastructure automation and tooling; partner with security teams to ensure appropriate isolation guarantees; strong emphasis on distributed systems, cloud platforms (GCP/GCS), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), IaC, and programming in Python, Go, or Rust.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience building and operating backend infrastructure at scale
- Deep expertise in distributed systems design and implementation
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, particularly GCP/GCS (experience with AWS or Azure is valuable)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and understanding their security implications
- Experience with infrastructure as code and modern DevOps practices
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Rust
