Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer III focused on Windows-based infrastructure within JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s Infrastructure Platform. Responsibilities include incident response, change and problem management, designing data-driven operational solutions, leading root-cause analysis, driving high availability and performance for customers, coaching team members, and partnering with peers to automate routine operational activities and drive system stability. Requires formal infrastructure development training or certification and 5+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps or a related platform engineering role; strong Windows Server expertise (2016–2025), Windows performance tools, clustering, Hyper-V, load balancing, scripting (Python or PowerShell), and a proven track record in reliability and site reliability practices.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure development concepts
- 5+ years applied experience in SRE/DevOps, platform engineer, or similar
- Strong knowledge and experience with Windows Server operating systems 2016–2025
- Proficient with Windows performance tools and debugging
- Deep knowledge of Windows clustering, Web, load balancing, sysinternals, Windows patching, and risk management
- Fluency in Python or PowerShell
- Strong reliability, scalability, performance, security, and enterprise system architecture knowledge
- Experience driving adoption of site reliability practices
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V
- PowerShell or Python coding knowledge
- Analytical thinking for strategic solutions
- Ability to coach/mentor team members
