Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer III focusing on data and systems at scale within JPMorgan Chase's infrastructure engineering discipline. Applies technical knowledge to projects of moderate scope, ensures end-to-end monitoring of applications, identifies capacity risks, governs remediation statuses, and collaborates with application and infrastructure teams. Emphasizes automation, scripting (Python), cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform), observability tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk), and strong communication to drive meetings and knowledge sharing. Role includes contributing to a diverse and inclusive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in supporting products/infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure disciplines (hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, performance assessments)
- Strong knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g., Python)
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written) to drive meetings and knowledge sharing
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies and ability to operate/migrate across public and private clouds
- Drive to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge in additional domains, data fluency, and automation
- Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Netcool
