Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Employee Platforms focusing on infrastructure engineering across data and systems at scale. Apply technical knowledge to projects of moderate scope, ensure end-to-end monitoring of applications, resolve nuances with clear escalation paths, and execute conventional approaches to complex problems. Drive daily activities for standard capacity processes, partner with application and infrastructure teams to identify capacity risks and govern remediation statuses, consider upstream/downstream data and technical implications, and make significant decisions for multi-technology projects. Role emphasizes hands-on experience with F5 load-balancing technologies (GTM, LTM, ASM, APM, AFM), Cisco routing/switching and firewall products, scripting (Python/Unix), cloud technologies, and a 24x7 operational mindset in a mission-critical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on Infrastructure engineering concepts
- 3+ years applied experience in infrastructure engineering
- Strong knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, automation, scaling, resilience, performance assessments
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python)
- 5+ years experience with F5 Load balancing technologies (GTM, LTM, ASM, APM, AFM)
- 5+ years experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing/switching) and firewall products
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies (public and private clouds)
- Software development experience in Python/Unix
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 on-call environment
- Strong problem-solving and capacity planning skills
