Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate Hyper-V cluster architectures across global data centers; develop automation for Hyper-V lifecycle (provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance, decommissioning) using PowerShell, WMI, and a .NET-based workload management platform; audit performance across the full stack, plan capacity, and collaborate with hardware teams and Microsoft partners to optimize virtualization workloads and security compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering with breadth across virtualization, storage, networking, Windows Server administration
- Strong Hyper-V expertise (failover clustering, live migration, Storage Spaces Direct)
- PowerShell scripting for automation and host/config management
- WMI-based inventory collection
- Experience with DSC/SCCM/Ansible or equivalent for data center scale
- CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure tooling and automation
- Experience with performance benchmarking (storage/compute)
- Ability to evaluate hardware BOMs for Hyper-V suitability (processor/memory, I/O, overcommit)
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration-as-code
- Mentorship and design/documentation proficiency
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems or related field
