Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer focusing on Site Reliability Engineering and automation. Design, write, and maintain software in Python to automate provisioning, deployment, and configuration management of infrastructure; advance Terraform adoption with proper state management and modular design; use Ansible/Saltstack for consistent environments; develop robust CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application deployments; implement and mature monitoring, logging, and alerting; participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation and drive blameless postmortems; champion SRE practices, automation, and coding standards across the team. Requires 3+ years in production cloud environments (AWS/GCP), strong Python, Terraform, Linux/Bash, Ansible/Saltstack, Git experience, and familiarity with AI tools for SRE tasks; prefer experience transitioning to IaC, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines; degree in CS/CE or equivalent, US citizenship, and ability to meet government screening requirements; hybrid/remote role based in Fremont, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing production environments in AWS and/or GCP
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with Terraform, including state management and modular design
- Strong knowledge of Linux internals and Bash scripting
- Proficiency with Ansible and/or Saltstack
- Expert level understanding of Git and collaborative workflows
- Hands on experience using AI Tools to solve SRE operational challenges; developing Agentic workflows is a plus
- Desire to transition legacy/manual operations to automated, IaC-driven approaches
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes containerization and container orchestration
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation
- Familiarity with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
- MS/BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Must meet all personnel screening requirements as specified by applicable federal contracts or agency regulations, which may include US citizenship
