Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer, Db2 responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Db2-related infrastructure with security, resilience and observability built in. Develops automation to enable testing and paths to live for products, collaborates with stakeholders to design self-service infrastructure products, supports infrastructure as code solutions, and contributes to SQL performance optimization, backup/recovery, governance, and CI/CD workflows. Requires experience with Db2 for z/OS, scripting (Python/Shell), modern IaC tooling, observability, and on-premise data-centre deployments; remote-first in the UK with London and Edinburgh locations.
Required Qualifications
- experience in Db2 database design and administration
- automation scripting such as Python or Shell
- experience with modern infrastructure as code tooling
- experience with Db2 for z/OS
- Agile practices and tooling
- CI/CD pipelines
