Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer (Core) at Telnyx, building a cloud-agnostic, scalable infrastructure platform. You will collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points and improve internal architecture for scalability and resilience, deepen expertise in Kubernetes, service mesh, and CI/CD pipelines, and learn the technology stack used across Telnyx. Key focus areas include deploying and maintaining infrastructure provisioning automation, container technologies, networking, and automation tooling using Python/Golang and configuration languages (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform). Strong candidates will bring experience with on-prem and multi-cloud environments, cloud-native practices, and a passion for growing their skills across the technology stack while delivering robust infrastructure for global product teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development and infrastructure operations experience
- Strong experience in Kubernetes management and applications development
- Proficiency in Python, Golang (or similar)
- Experience with configuration languages (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc)
- Experience in shaping and improving CI/CD infrastructure design, architecture, and implementation support
- General knowledge of container technologies, linux networking and operating systems
- Basic networking protocols (DNS, HTTP, TLS); knowledge of additional protocols like BGP is a plus
- Knowledge of service discovery and service mesh architectures is a plus
