Job Summary
Lead the growth of AECOM’s infrastructure decarbonisation services within the Environment and Energy Business Unit, delivering strategic and technical advisory on low-carbon projects. Provide leadership in developing market opportunities, managing major bids and framework submissions, and advising executive-level clients, regulators, and infrastructure organizations on decarbonisation and Net Zero strategies. Contribute to market profile through thought leadership, conference engagement, and industry collaboration while guiding a multidisciplinary team of carbon and ESG specialists. Hybrid work model with base in London or Edinburgh and collaboration across global client portfolios across power, transportation, and water sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience acting as a technical lead for greenhouse gas assessments
- Excellent knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting methodologies (GHG Protocol, PAS 2080, ISO 14000)
- Strong understanding of UK and EU greenhouse gas policy, legislation, and regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of greenhouse gas and climate change Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes
- Experience leading development of carbon management strategies and Net Zero Transition Plans
- Experience supporting or leading major bids, tenders, and framework submissions
- Strong business development experience within infrastructure greenhouse gas advisory services
- Strong people management, mentoring, and team development skills
- Experience contributing to thought leadership initiatives, industry forums, and conference presentations
