Job Summary

Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure platforms using Infrastructure as Code tools like Azure Resource Manager. Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure environments while monitoring resources, troubleshooting performance issues, and optimizing system reliability. Configure networking, storage, compute, firewalls, and identity services; implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards to improve Azure Secure Score. Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning while collaborating with IT Operations to support application deployment. Monitor cloud spending for cost optimization and document architecture and operational procedures. Maintain 99.7% systems availability and adhere to stringent change management procedures within a 24x7, multi-site organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or DevOps
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Fortinet
  • Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Azure Monitor / Secure Score
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows server administration
  • DNS, VPN, load balancing and VPC/VNet configuration
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Must be able to work in a Team environment or autonomously
  • Must be willing to travel to other sites across the McBride Group (includes international travel)
  • Must be flexible to be able to meet the challenges and opportunities of working within a 24x7, multi-site, multi-cultural organisation
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Broad understanding of current external trends
