Job Summary
Serve as the single point of contact and delivery owner for assigned electric infrastructure projects, from scope development through construction closeout. Lead planning, execution, and delivery of substation and transmission/distribution line projects, including regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve field issues. Report on scope completion, schedules, and budgets while developing integrated project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6. Support contractor selection, procurement, and materials management, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and utility requirements. Mentor less-tenured project managers and communicate regularly with leadership and public-sector stakeholders. This role follows a hybrid model with on-site time at Client's facilities in the Bay Area / Central Coast region.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of direct project management experience on electric transmission, substation, distribution and/or comparable heavy civil/utility infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through a formal utility gate/stage process from a client-facing or consulting capacity
- Professional experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling tools
- Strong knowledge of cost management, budget forecasting, and risk management/mitigation practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
Desired Qualifications
- PG&E experience
- Familiarity with SAP Financials / Work Management modules
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- PMP certificate
- Ability to obtain PMP within 6 months
