Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Develop automation solutions using Azure ARM, Logic Apps, PowerShell, and Python to manage, secure, and maintain the BEP IT network infrastructure. Create Desired State Configuration baselines and runbooks for servers and cloud resources, while identifying high-value tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve process efficiency. Monitor network utilization and performance metrics, optimize automation systems for uptime, and provide operations support for development, test, and mission-specific environments. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions and continuously research new testing methodologies. Work 24/7 in an office setting supporting the CIO Directorate's Office of Information Technology Operations.

Required Qualifications

  • At least four (4) years' experience of large enterprise infrastructure and software automation utilizing various automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) AWS Cloud Formation, Microsoft Power Automate, etc.)
  • Experience in multiple programming languages (e.g., Powershell, bash, python C#/Rust/Ruby) and a basic understanding of software development methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in all phases of engineering, automation, application, and development of multiple operating systems
  • Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Microsoft Windows Automation with Ansible
  • H.S Diploma or GED
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have a clear background with no derogatory financial history
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government clearance
