Job Summary
Lead software development of infrastructure automation routines supporting private cloud services. Define programming architecture and languages, set delivery strategy, and implement routines ensuring adherence to common standards within an API-based Infrastructure as Code approach. Analyze existing capabilities to develop sustainable integration strategies. Own the code base, define coding strategy, and manage code review routines while developing world-class APIs for system interaction. Allocate work, track progress via Jira, and support a team of developers through Agile methodology and robust release cycles. Mentor the team on design, best practices, and high code performance. Ensure software integrity and deliver work using automated regression testing to streamline releases.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading a coding team
- Proficiency in Python scripting
- Proficiency in orchestrating workflows using Ansible
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, validation, and deployments
- Strong focus on testing and reliability, including automated integration/validation testing and troubleshooting of complex workflows
- Delivery using an Agile methodology
- Use of Jira for work assignments and tracking
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of the VMWare Stack
- Use of Teraform for infrastructure builds
- Familiarity with Powershell scripting
- Experience working on Infrastructure as Code deployments
