Job Summary
Senior Infrastructure Architect leading the hybrid cloud modernization program, combining hands-on virtualization and data-center engineering with architecture leadership across on-premises co-located data centers and Azure AVS. Drive infrastructure strategy, lifecycle design for virtualization, storage, automation platforms, and hybrid cloud; build and support VMware stack across on-prem and AVS; lead image lifecycle, DR/failover, and security/compliance. Promote infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible), contribute to DevOps culture (CI/CD), and mentor intermediate/senior engineers while aligning roadmaps with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and engineering, including hybrid cloud and on-prem data centers
- Strong expertise in VMware technologies (vSphere, VCF, VxRail, NSX-T, Horizon, etc.) and Azure/AVS environments
- Proven experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible), image management, and compliance
- Hands-on experience managing colocation data centers (e.g., Equinix), DR planning, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with SQL, Linux, Windows Server, and email infrastructure
- Understanding of enterprise monitoring and analytics tools (Dynatrace, Aria Suite, etc.)
- Experience with backup/storage solutions and business continuity frameworks
- Solid understanding of IT governance, change control, and policy administration
- Experience mentoring and leading infrastructure engineers across projects or functional initiatives
- Preferred Certifications: VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect, HashiCorp Terraform Associate; Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900); AI Fundamentals (AI-900)
