Job Summary
Hands-on infrastructure professional with a focus on building secure, scalable environments for Canada. Oversee storage, compute, virtualization, monitoring, logging and alerting; install/configure/troubleshoot hardware and software; collaborate with security, networking, system administration and helpdesk teams; manage backups, asset lifecycle, licensing, OS provisioning and patching; implement change management and incident response aligned with ISO 27001:2022; participate in after-hours on-call; travel to data centers in Toronto and Montreal as needed; experience across Linux and Windows ecosystems, virtualization platforms, and a broad tooling suite; strong automation mindset and ability to document requirements and contribute to project plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years of work experience in IT systems, data centers, networking, architecture, security, documentation and reporting
- Excellent knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Satellite and Ubuntu), physical and virtual server management (Cisco UCS, Dell OpenManage, VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V) and NetApp ONTAP
- Working knowledge of Windows Servers, Splunk, Nagios, Icinga, Commvault Metallic, GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Jira and Confluence
