Information Security Manager is a hands-on, working manager who defines, implements and monitors security policy for on-prem, cloud, and remote access deployments. The primary duty is to maintain a security posture that enables business operations while preventing breaches. Hires, retains, and trains an IS Engineer to assist with day-to-day duties. Oversees on-prem firewall rules, Active Directory, and vulnerability management; designs security measures in the cloud and leads the implementation and monitoring by the IS team; designs, implements, and maintains a remote access VPN for associates working outside corporate offices. Responsibilities include understanding applications and data, assessing threat risks (zero-day and third-party), reporting to executive management, mitigating threats, and communicating risk through measurable status updates. The role entails participating in external audits and regulatory examinations, managing projects, creating detailed technical documentation, and mentoring security team members. Weekend, evening, and on-call work are possible; some travel is required. Infovisa is unable to sponsor visas and is an equal opportunity employer.
