Job Summary

Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and work with senior developers to design program logic for simple applications. Generate code, compile, and debug programs while participating in development, production support, and code review processes. Prepare test data, execute testing, and implement documented programs using Object-Oriented languages like Java, C#, or VB.NET. Manage multiple activities within established deadlines while maintaining secure development practices and database programming skills. This role supports the Software Development & Operations team, with training completion required within 24 months and occasional on-call rotation for off-site support.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Computer Science or related IT discipline
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of secure development techniques
  • Ability to understand and write Object Oriented Programming; including Java, C# or VB.NET
  • Knowledge of Client scripting (AJAX and JavaScript, jQuery, Angular)
  • Knowledge of SML, XSLT
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Database Programming (Stored Procedures)
  • Ability to read and create a process flow diagram
  • Ability to debug systems/interfaces
  • Ability to manage multiple activities with a degree of risk while working within established deadlines
  • Ability to complete technical reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in order to convey technical information in a clear, concise and understandable manner for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and communications with supervisors, other employees, and vendors
  • Stays up to date on emerging technologies and frameworks
  • Successful completion of Developer Training within 24 months
  • This position can participate in rotating on-call support
  • This position requires mobile device and internet access for on-call work performed off-site
  • The position is (occasionally) required to work non-business hours to perform an implementation or other support duties
