Job Summary
Information Technology System Administrator at Trillium Engineering responsible for maintaining, securing, and supporting internal IT systems and end-user computing. Focuses on reliability, availability, and security of internal infrastructure while delivering responsive, compliant support to employees. Responsibilities include ticketing-system support, onboarding/offboarding, asset and documentation management, vendor coordination for maintenance, lifecycle management of hardware and software, enforcing security practices (MFA, access controls, backups), ensuring regulatory compliance (NIST/CMMC considerations), assisting with cybersecurity awareness and incident response steps, participating in IT projects and upgrades, and providing basic end-user training.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and hands-on experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration roles.
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux; Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365; Familiarity with endpoint protection solutions and secure remote access tools; Experience with common business applications.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills; ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
- Experience handling cybersecurity basics, data protection practices, and knowledge of security concepts (MFA, access controls, backups, monitoring); ability to balance usability with security and compliance.
